Keep Your Head Up Foundation’s Mindful Moments Programs

Keep Your Head Up Foundation offers Mindful Moments, a free virtual and in-person program promoting physical, emotional, social, and mental well-being for individuals impacted by traumatic brain injury, including concussions.

In-person programs: Waterloo Region residents 18–35 with traumatic brain injury (including concussion)

Virtual programs: Canadian residents 18+ with traumatic brain injury (including concussion)

Sessions are typically 1 hour in length. In-person programs take place in an accessible, sensory-friendly Waterloo Region space, while virtual programs are held online via Microsoft Teams. Click the calendar below to view programs and register.

Note: Registration uses an honour system. KYHU doesn't require proof of injury, age, or status, but trusts users need the free resources.

    You’ll be sent to a scheduling site to view monthly programs. Pick one and complete a short admin form. Successful registrations receive a confirmation.

  • KYHU was founded by two women in the Waterloo Region who, during their recoveries, saw a gap in support for youth and young adults with TBIs.

    KYHU provides programs tailor-made for youth, young adults, to older adults as well, who are affected by their brain injury in Canada.

    Since the development and launch of the KYHU support programs, the organization has had the opportunity to witness the support and growth of many individuals both near and far, through their TBI recovery journey.

    For material based virtual programs, we kindly share that participants are to bring their own materials in preparations of the session.
